PKMN: Viola Blight

A Pokemon trainer OC that I was going to enter into but didn't finish in time. I had just finished colouring her today. Also, now that I've finally gotten the hang of the pen tool _{I CAN MAKE CURVES NOW} and gotten a better grip on Photoshop, I can possibly do cell-shading even better _{though my version of cell-shading is still kind of weird} and make all of the commissions, requests and trades much better. Name:Viola Blight

Birthday: May 23rd, 1994

Hometown/Region: Pastoria City, Sinnoh Region

Height: 5'6"

Weight: 128 lbs.

Personality: Brash, energetic, loyal, blunt, doesn't like putting up with stupid people, arrogant, impatient, gets irritated easily, rebellious, can be also sentimental about things that has happened in her past.

Backstory: Viola is the daughter of a Pokemon Ranger who works in the Great Marsh and a world famous classical musician. When she was 10, she started off on her Pokemon journey with a Croagunk that was given to her by her ranger father. Since then she has trained hard and expanded her team and is ready to battle anyone, anywhere, anytime. Also to prove to her mother, who wanted her to follow in her footsteps as a musician, that she could carve out her own niche. She got inspired to become a gym leader when she grew up when she was 11 and finally challenged her home town's gym leader Crasher Wake. After losing to him the first 2 times, she vowed to become stronger and to be an even greater gym leader than him until finally she defeated him.

Relationships:

Theodore Blight (Dad): Pretty easy-going relationship though they might get on each other's nerves every once in a while, especially when he tries to get Viola to try and talk to her mother. As a child, Viola was a little bit of a daddy's girl and always loved going into the Great Marsh with him on his rounds. He was the one who gave Viola her first pokemon, Chrona the Croagunk, a pokemon that he had caught in the Great Marsh a couple of days before her 10th birthday.

Anona Cassarah-Blight (Mom): A bit strained but they will still try and be civil towards each other. When Viola was a child her mother would constantly force her to learn how to play a whole bunch of different instruments so that she could follow in her mother's footsteps much to her dismay. Throughout her childhood she and her mother clashed about her future so much that once she received her first pokemon, Viola high-tailed it out of there to go on her Pokemon journey. Since then she will only occasionally visit home, while constantly traveling all over Sinnoh challenging every single trainer and Pokemon that she comes across. Viola will still call and be forced by her father to have awkward conversations with her mother too. Anona frequently travels across the world to perform as well.

Other:

~ Out of all of the instruments that her mother forced her to learn as a child (Violin, guitar, mandolin, trumpet, trombone and yes, ironically the viola as well) she only fully learned how to play the piano.

~ Currently she has all 8 of the Sinnoh badges and has battled the Elite Four.

~ She currently lives in Veilstone City.

~ After she finally defeated Crasher Wake, she converted her newly gained Fen Badge into a pin that she has been wearing ever since then.

~ She has a couple of scars on her back from defending her team from when a whole bunch of angry Pokemon got riled up by Team Galactic a while back.

Bio: Was Viola's first ever Pokemon given to her by her father, who works as a Pokemon Ranger at the Great Marsh. Chrona is the big sister figure of the team and keeps all of the other Pokemon in line before they do something stupid. She's usually calm, cool and collected and it takes a lot to get her angry. She also is in no rush to evolve and thinks that she's fine the way she is.

Ivy/ Carnivine

From: Great Marsh

Naughty Nature

Holds: Miracle Seed

Ability: Levitate

Bio: Ivy was the first Pokemon that Viola caught for herself in the Great Marsh. She's the practical jokester of the team and is constantly causing trouble and trolling the other pokemon on the team. She takes great joy in especially trolling Nina, and Mimi, playing "supervillain" for Wayne and getting on Chrona's nerves. Chrona and Viola are the only ones who can get her under control.

Wayne/Gligar

Serious Nature

Holds: GLIGAR UTILITY BELT None. Viola is afraid of what would happen if she gave him an item to hold.

Ability: Sand Veil

Bio: Viola found Wayne as a baby fending for himself. Apparently he got separated from his parents which set in motion his thirst for vengeance against the Glameows and Puruglies that separated him from his beloved well-to-do, highly respected parents. He now fights for justice, truth and revenge, along with the protection of the innocent. He is night, he is the GLIGAR.

...Also, everyone else on the team is convinced that he is literally insane and mostly drags Mimi into his "superhero" antics and regularly picks fights with Ivy.

Mimi/Mawile

Caught on Iron Island

Lv. 51 Female

Timid Nature

Holds: Shell Bell

Ability: Intimidate

Bio: Mimi is the baby of the group and is always hiding behind Viola or Chrona when it's time for a battle. She dislikes battling and has little faith in her own abilities and hates it when Wayne calls her his "Girl Wonder" and forces her to be his sidekick for his "superhero" games. She hates it even more when either Ivy picks on her or Nina tries to give her makeovers and make her "pretty." Usually she ends up running to Chrona or Viola when any of the above happens though they both try to encourage her to open up.

Torque/Torkoal

Rash Nature

Holds: Charcoal

Ability: White Smoke

Bio: Torque has a need for speed that unfortunately his own abilities can't satisfy. He deludes himself into thinking that he is the fastest Pokemon around and hates it when others show him up. Due to this he can get jealous pretty easily and sometimes it can get the best of him. When not forcing his teammates to "race" him he chills and shoots the breeze with Chrona and an unwilling Wayne.

Moves: Flamethrower, Body Slam, Iron Defense, Lava Plume



Nina/Swanna

Given to Viola by her world-traveling musician mother. It was once her personal Pokemon.

Sassy Nature

Holds: Metronome

Ability: Keen Eye

Bio: Nina is the spoiled primadonna of the group that once belonged to Viola's mother who caught it in the Unova Region when she performed in a couple of cities over there. She is used to living a life of luxury and after Anona gave her away to a begrudging Viola as a "good will gift" she has lost that way of life. For the longest time she had never respected Viola and often thought of her as a rude, uncivilized girl (especially since Viola made her, her HM slave since she needed a Pokemon that could learn Fly and Surf), but after Viola defended both her and the rest of the team who were weak with exhaustion from the stampede of Pokemon caused by Team Galactic, her views changed and she treats Viola with the utmost respect and holds her in the highest of regards. Nina sometimes likes to "pretty" Mimi up and make her look like a "proper Pokemon" much to her dismay and mostly avoids Ivy who she believes is one of the most "disrespectful cretins that she has ever had the displeasure of being in the same vicinity with." Fun Fact: While she was touring with Viola's mother in Unova she became a star of the Pokemon Musical and still has some fans.
