Oh look I actually managed to finish colouring something for the first time in a long time _Godi'msoslow Also, I have overcome some of my Photoshop n00bness, since I have finally figured out how to colour sketches. Seriously, it was so damn easy that it frustrates me that I didn't figure it out sooner. DX Please ignore the background, I thought it would make the picture look more interesting _iwaswrong

So this is a redesign for 's contest for her OC Denesse Winters. I know that this was supposed to be only a redesign contest for her facial features and hair but I was only having some fun and I wouldn't be the fandom redesign whore/self-proclaimed Rarity if I didn't do something like this, would I not? :'3

So pretty much, you can just ignore the new outfit, that was me having the aforementioned fun, but please do not ignore the new body types. Well, I might as well explain all of the designs and why Denesse really looked so similar to ~kamillyanna's new OC Victoria in the first place...

Long story short, the biggest problem (aside from the similar hairstyles of course) is the body type. They both have the same exact body. Let me show you:



See, same exact body type. They even have the same head shape and eyelash type and the noses are almost similar. At least some of the problems were remedied in this though unfortunately that doesn't fix everything.

Which is the reason why I drew a couple body type suggestions, which I should explain. So, the full body-design has slightly smaller boobs and bigger hips. Pretty much made her pear-shaped. And then in the other (slightly) full-body design on the right has bigger, rounder boobs and straight-almost-non-existent hips. Kind of like a cross between a brick and a goblet body type.

Kamillyanna, you can ignore these suggestions if you'd like, but if you're curious, I would highly suggest looking at this chart It's really helpful in illustrating different women body types!

I'd also suggest looking at this for ideas for different head shapes and facial features. Which brings me to another point. I pretty much kept Denesse's eye colour and style the same (except for the red head where I made it more darker and reddish for fun) and used (square-ish eyelashes because those are really cute though the way that I drew them they still look like wings... >A>;;; ) I also gave her a little button nose to help illustrate the bubbly part of her personality. And then on the goblet/brick body type one, I also gave her a round face with a little base to further illustrate what the face shape looks like.

And now I should really explain the hair, since this was obviously the whole point of the contest. Long story short, I decided to go for a breezy, short, side-parted simple style. And to show that you don't always have to have an OC with long, un-tied hair, (seriously, why does every OC have to do that? DX ) I put Denesse in a braid and some pigtails. You could also have the hair be in a bun, etc. There is so much one can do with hair, especially if it's long enough. The braid!Denesse, I decided to play a little bit with the hair colour, going for, at first, a sandy, light brown, only to change it to a mousy brown because it looked cuter. I also messed around with the skin and lip colour too for fun, making her and her lips a little bit paler, with the later a little bit more natural looking. Actually now that I look at it, she looks a little bit like Katniss. Sorry, been reading the Hunger Games and having to deal with a Hunger Games!obsessed mother.

You can definitely tell that I had some fun on the red-headed pigtailed-one. :'3 At first, I was going to use her regular hair colour but at the last minute I went, "LOL SCREW IT" and used the deep red for fun. X'3 Also made her even paler too for the heck of it. Though mostly because it looked better with the red and changed her shirt colour too. :'3

And since because I feel like it, I'll explain the clothing design a little bit too~ Again, I did it because I felt like it _{and because I am the fandom's redesign whore} It's pretty much her regular shirt, except longer (in both the hem and the sleeves), completely purple, except for the collar, and without the zig zag pattern. Oh and I flipped the button flap since it should really be on the left since, mens clothing is buttoned on the right while women button their shirts on the left. I originally used her regular colour scheme, but I decided to darken the purple and eventually the jeans as well. Then for the braid one, I darkened the shirt because it looked better and I already explained why I have the red-head's shirt the colour that it is.

Sooooo, I believe I have rambled on enough and have explained everything. Overall, I really hope that Kamillyanna likes these designs even though I bent the rules a little bit~ You could just count the hair styles and faces if you'd like. But I still highly suggest those body types.
